Functionality and Use

Wheel loaders are used for a variety of different tasks, and this is thanks to their compatibility with a variety of different attachments. As with many construction vehicles, the most common of these attachments is the bucket tool, although even such a standard idea can be adapted to fit more niche needs. This is epitomised by the smaller buckets which are made sturdier for use when transporting rocks, as well as larger buckets, which are employed to scoop large quantities of material. Typical loader applications include laying pipe, removing debris and excavation. However it is limited in the later as it cannot dig below the level of its wheels.

Other uses for wheel loaders see the utilising of attachments such as grapples, which enable them to manoeuvre large amounts of scrap metal. With this in mind, it is clear that when it comes to construction vehicles, wheel loaders are extremely versatile.

The cabs of wheel loaders feature many of the same appliances which are standard in cars. For example, they may include air conditioning and stereos. When looking to purchase a wheel loader, you may be required to pay extra for such accessories.

The newer generation of wheel loaders are required to meet a standard of emissions as set by the EPA, to combat climate change and environmental damage.
